Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in Torrance

It’s safe to say 85°C Bakery Café knows baked goods; the Café’s master chef Henry Cheng has a gold medal in world skill pastry and two silver medals from decorative bread and cake competitions. Founded with a philosophy that emphasizes five-star quality at affordable prices, 85°C serves over 60 varieties of pastries freshly baked every hour! Each cup of coffee is brewed individually upon order for a distinctive, rich and smooth taste sure to compliment pastries including almond half moons, cream cheese custard tarts, matcha red bean roll, tiramisu and more.

Sweet, golden, melt-in-your-mouth bread rolls are probably the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words “Hawaiian King Rolls.” But at the King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant in Torrance, far more than bread rolls await. Cakes with layers of guava, passion and lime; butter sponge cake with tres leches; macadamia nut cream pie, rolled Florentine with chocolate butter cream and dozens of other delicacies are offered at the classic bakery. King’s Hawaiian first opened in Hilo, Hawaii in 1950 and after several years of success, King’s came to the mainland in 1977. They opened its first factory in Torrance, and shortly thereafter, a full-service bakery and restaurant serving a unique selection of Hawaiian local food and traditional American dishes to Torrance. A South Bay favorite, King’s Hawaiian is an iconic “must-do”!In October of 1984, the Rossberg family opened the doors of Torrance Bakery to the public. With only 1200 square feet of space and seven dedicated employees, they set out to serve the people of the South Bay the freshest, most delicious cakes and pastries in town. The bakery became a city favorite and continued to grow and expand. Today, Torrance Bakery serves the South Bay from two locations with a total of 78 employees, a separate Wedding Cake Showroom and a Sandwich Shop. Eclairs, croissants, cheesecakes, filled donuts and more are among local favorites.

Right outside of Los Angeles and neighboring charming beach towns, Torrance is the perfect place to stay and play in the South Bay. Head over to the hotels and explore pages at DiscoverTorrance.com to book your stay today.
