The Caribbean island of Cuba has influenced development of multiple musical styles in the 19th and 20th centuries. Cuban music includes classical pieces, some with predominantly European influences, and much of it inspired by both Afro-Cuban and Spanish music.

Cuban pianist Daniel Amat, accompanied by some of Los Angeles’ sought-after studio musicians, pays tribute to some of Cuba’s most prolific composers from Contradanza to Mambo, featuring music from Ignacio Cervantes (1847-1905), Ernesto Lecuona (1895-1963) and Israel Lopez “Cachao” (1918-2008).
