Richard Foss will present a culinary history talk Seven Gifts from L.A. Kitchens to the World on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library.
Each wave of immigrants to Los Angeles brought their own tastes in food, and both home and commercial cooks recreated traditional items. New cuisines developed that included elements from Europe, Central America, and Asia.
Join culinary historian Richard Foss as he discusses the waves of migration to Los Angeles and looks at seven items invented in California with inspiration from all over the world.
