Shakespeare by the Sea: Henry V

Henry V is Shakespeare’s most patriotic and inspiring play tells of a young King Henry V who seeks to unite his beloved England. After laying claim to French lands and being ridiculed, Henry marches off to war. Although sorely outnumbered, Henry rallies his troops and achieves a decisive victory in the famous Battle of Agincourt.

For over twenty years, Southern California audiences have come to love Shakespeare by the Sea for its high value productions of Shakespeare’s plays, presented free of admission in dozens of local parks each summer. The Comedy of Errors and Henry V will tour to more than 20 locations, beginning and ending at its home stage at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. The festival has become a family favorite event, entertaining more than 20,000 folks each year who come to enjoy Shakespeare under the summer sky.

Bard’s Box tickets are $65 and and can be purchased online with the first two performances at Point Fermin (6/15 & 6/22) starting at 8 p.m. It is a good idea to get there early with chairs and blanket in hand.
