The Collings Foundation presents the Wings of Freedom Tour at Torrance Airport Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28.
This tour showcases fully restored bomber aircraft: a B-24 Liberator and B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, TP-51D and P-40B. The public is invited to tour these World War II military planes or take to the skies for an unforgettable 30 minute flight experience.
Admission for the tour is $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and younger. No reservations are needed for the tour. Flights aboard the B-17 and B-24 are $450 each per person. Flights on the B-25 Mitchell are $400 each.
Guests are also invited to fly the greatest fighter on earth and get some ‘stick time’ in the world’s only full dual control TP-51D. Flight training is $2,400 for a half hour and $3,400 for one hour. There is also flight training offered in the P-40B for $2,200 a half hour and $3,200 for a full hour.
