In exigencies of WWII, commanders found it necessary to take risks with their aircraft and with their pilots they would never take during peace time but they had to be prepared immediately to go into combat. As a result, many were lost in the accelerated training that was necessary to push as many pilots as possible to the front. But those who survived went on to prove themselves to be the terror of the nations who had dared to threaten the United States. Please join us to learn what is known about the airmen that went missing during this era as told to Mr. Macha by some of those who survived it.
