Torrance California Welcome Center to Celebrate Official Grand Opening June 17

As state fully reopens, the center will be key in promoting tourism recovery efforts

TORRANCE, Calif., June 3, 2021 –

WHAT: The official grand opening celebration of the Torrance California Welcome Center will include a ribbon cutting ceremony in partnership with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will follow safety protocols and take place immediately following remarks by guest speakers to signify the welcome center being open to the public. The celebration will also include a welcome reception, giveaways and more.

WHEN: Thursday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m.

WHY: To celebrate the official grand opening of the 18th California Welcome Center in the state and the second in Los Angeles County. Torrance’s Welcome Center provides travelers with information about attractions, lodging, local discounts, maps, brochures, insider tips and fun merchandise from Discover Torrance, Visit California and local businesses. The new Welcome Center will also contribute to the region’s post-pandemic economic recovery as travel spending supports local businesses as well as essential services and programs.
