4th of July Fireworks at Torrance Civic Center

The City of Torrance is pleased to announce the return of the Fourth of July Fireworks Show! The spectacular 25-minute show on Monday, July 4th begins at 9 p.m. The show will feature a patriotic soundtrack to complement the 1,220 shells being fired.

Torrance CitiCABLE will broadcast the show live on Spectrum channel 3, Frontier FiOS channel 31, on YouTube.com/TorranceCitiCABLE and at TorranceCA.Gov/CABLE.

The 4th of July Fireworks Show can also be viewed at select Civic Center locations.  Attendance is limited at both viewing locations. The West Parking Lot of the LA County Court House at 825 Maple Avenue as well as the LA Galaxy Sports Complex at 555 Maple Avenue will allow viewing on a first come, first served bases.  Prohibited items at both locations include food, tobacco products, fireworks, open flames or fireworks, folding chairs with straight legs or spikes, bicycles, canopies, glass containers or aluminum cans.

There will be street closures in the area beginning at 8:30 p.m., including:

  • Maple Avenue between Torrance Boulevard and California Street
  • Civic Center Drive between Madrona Avenue and Maple Avenue
  • Felbar Avenue, Fonthill Avenue, Kornblum Avenue, Teri Avenue, Cranbrook Avenue and Hickory Avenue will be open to residents only
  • Madrona Avenue will be closed between Torrance Boulevard and Emerald Street beginning at 8:45 p.m.

In anticipation of the holiday, the City of Torrance also reminds the public that within the City of Torrance, it is illegal to possess, store, offer for sale, expose for sale, sell at retail, give, furnish, use, or explode any fireworks, including those fireworks defined in the California Health and Safety Code as safe and sane fireworks. The City asks that people attending the show be mindful and respectful of residents and businesses in the area, and to obey all traffic laws.
