Calling all Railroad Enthusiasts!  A Night at the Lomita Railroad Museum is a FREE nighttime event that will transport guests back in time to the early 20th century when steam ruled the rails!  Period dress attire is encouraged but not required.

Tours will be provided of both the 1910 Union Pacific Caboose, and the steam locomotive: Southern Pacific 2-6-0 #1765 – giving you a glimpse into life on the railroad in the early days. Equipment demonstrations will also be shown, including a demonstration of an 1881 Fairbanks & Morse Velocipede, used for track maintenance.

  • Historic Automobiles will populate the exterior, providing an insight into other modes of transportation including a 1949 Mack Fire Truck used by the Torrance Fire Department
  • Photo opportunities complete with different props to hold during your photo
  • Live entertainment performed by local groups

Docents will be available to answer any questions about artifacts, including some never before seen by the public!
