Annual Armed Forces Day Parade & Celebration
Mark Your Calendars for May 15 – 17, 2026!
The 64th Annual City of Torrance Armed Forces Parade and Celebration will be held Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17! This year’s honored service branch will be the United States Marine Corps. This year’s Armed Forces Day weekend will also reflect the significance of the nation’s Semiquincentennial, offering residents and visitors meaningful opportunities to celebrate service, freedom, and 250 years of American history.
The Armed Forces Day 5K for Freedom Run/Walk sponsored by the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce will also return and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 16, at a new location, Maple Avenue and Civic Center Drive.

Military Concert – Armed Forces Day Celebration: USAF Band of the Golden West in Concert
You’re invited to join the US Air Force Band of the Golden West for a FREE concert of patriotic music at the James R. Armstrong Theatre in celebration of Armed Forces Day!

Where: James R. Armstrong Theatre – 3330 Civic Center Dr, Torrance, CA 90503
Time: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Tickets: Your FREE tickets can be reserved at the James R. Armstrong Theatre box office, limit 4 per patron.
Military Exhibits
This year, the Military Equipment and Vehicle Displays will be located at the City Yard. The City will introduce a Park-and-Ride shuttle service from the Torrance Regional Transit Center to both the Armed Forces Day Parade and Military Exhibit, providing improved access and convenience for attendees.

Armed Forces Day Transit Route – Friday, May 15, 2026
Service will run from Regional Transit Center to City Yard, back to Regional Transit Center Non-Stop service from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Two buses will be dedicated with an estimate of 10 to 15 minutes’ wait time. Pick up and drop off will be at RTC, City Yard. Route: From Regional Transit Center: Right on Crenshaw Blvd., Right on Torrance Blvd., Right on Madrona Ave. to City Yard. From City Yard: Right on Del Amo Blvd., Right on Crenshaw Blvd to Regional Transit Center.
Armed Forces Day Transit Route – Saturday, May 16, 2026
Service will run from Regional Transit Center to City Yard, back to Regional Transit Center Non-Stop service from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. three buses will be dedicated with an estimate of 10 to 15 minutes’ wait time. Pick up and drop off will be at Regional Transit Center, Maricopa St. and Maple Ave., and City Yard.
Route from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: From Regional Transit Center: Right on Crenshaw Blvd., Right on Maricopa St., Left on Civic Center Dr., Right on Madrona Ave. to City Yard. From City Yard: Right on Del Amo Blvd., Right on Crenshaw Blvd to Regional Transit Center.
Route from 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM: From Regional Transit Center: Right on Crenshaw Blvd., Right on Torrance Blvd., Right on Madrona Ave. to City Yard.
