For those that may not have had the pleasure to see him perform live, Joel Gaines has been entertaining audiences around the world. He is a piano and keyboard virtuoso with a warm and inviting vocal style often compared to the likes of vocalists, George Benson, Al Jarreau and Bobby McFerrin, backing many of the biggies in the music business at one time or another.
Joel has been part of the performing entourage for the likes of Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, and Chaka Khan just to name a few. He played keys alongside various artists like Wayne Henderson and The Jazz Crusaders, Kenny G, Rick Braun, Ronnie Laws, Eric Darius, Tom Braxton, Brian Culbertson, Ray Fuller, and violinists Noel Webb and Karen Briggs. Well known for his on stage virtuosity, Joel has bottled many of the finer ingredients of his performance in Just The Way I’m Feeling, his sophomore release.
Considering himself first and foremost an Adult Contemporary Jazz Artist, Joel nonetheless mixes world music, R&B, jazz and rock together with a pinch of pop. He writes and performs engagingly melodic pieces that will still be dancing in your head, and in your heart, long after his performance has ended.
