Opera Talk: Tannhauser

Tannhauser is an opera where the supernatural world blends in with the natural, where sacred and profane love battle out in the midst of a song contest in a historic castle.

This is a story of medieval Germany infused with German Romanticism and full of the lush, moving, and beautiful score of 32-year-old Richard Wagner.
