Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 4th. The Torrance Historical Society invites you to their Annual Meeting at the Museum where they’rehosting a very special Piano Concert in the Museum showcasing the newest gift to the Society – a Chickering piano donated by the family of Jared Sidney Torrance. This piano was passed down through three generations of the family of the City of Torrance’s founder – Jared Sidney Torrance.
The acoustics in the 1936 WPA Museum will enhance the music coming from the 5.5-ocatave rosewood Victorian square Boudoir “baby grand” Chickering piano (circa 1850s). Pianist Mark Roulette will have the honor of tickling the ivories for your listening pleasure.Here are the details . . .
