Western Museum of Flight – Flight Test Day Camp

For those interested in learning about a career in Flight Test, the Western Museum of Flight is hosting a one-day immersive course which includes exploring military and prototype fighter jets in person and watching real flight test footage. Students will sit in the cockpit of a supersonic fighter jet to understand combat missions.
This course, taught by Colonel Roy Martin – USAF (ret), will teach on the principles of flight, types and characteristics of aircrafts, aircraft structures and propulsion, design decision criteria and standard and special flight procedures.
Colonel Roy Martin – USAF (ret.) is a graduate from the US Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Airforce Base. He has flown in over 200 USAF missions from 1972-1973 and is qualified on 70+ types of aircraft. He is also a Northrop Grumman Test Pilot.
