The Western Museum of Flight is hosting a Celebrity Lecture Series – Alien Objects: Defending the Planet

The earth is in the cross hairs of a potential killer asteroid. But, not to worry, Dr. Melamed, and his fellow planetary defenders, are on the job. They are preparing to launch an intercept vehicle to destroy or divert this killer rock before it can come close enough to do us harm. That is the essence of Planetary Defense. Join us to hear how this exceptional team of scientists from Aerospace Corporation and JPL plan to use the latest space technology to defend us.
