City Parks with Pickleball Courts

Torrance offers free, first-come, first-serve courts at several city parks:

The city also allows pickleball at certain basketball courts Monday through Friday until 2 p.m. You’ll need to bring your own net:

South Bay Tennis & Pickleball Center

For a dedicated facility, head to the South Bay Tennis & Pickleball Center. With nine pickleball courts and 28 additional courts with blended lines, it’s the premier hub in the South Bay for pickleball.

The center offers:

  • Beginner and advanced group classes
  • Private lessons for all skill levels
  • Court rentals and open play for members and non-members
  • Adult leagues and women’s ladders

Drop-In Pickleball with REC

Torrance has partnered with REC to make community access to courts easier. Programs include open play, lessons, and leagues on public courts.

One popular option is the Pickleball Drop-In Program at Dee Hardison Sports Center:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Two indoor courts (balls provided; bring your own paddle)
  • Fee: $5 per day
  • Limited to 24 participants per session
