The spooky season has a way of sneaking up on you! Not to be frightened, though — we have plenty of ways to get wicked this Halloween season in Torrance… if you dare. From classic Halloween movies to freaky festivals, we’ve got all kinds of events to make it a memorable holiday in SoCal’s secret city.

Halloween Scare Down

Scare down…all the way to old town! Halloween Scare Down in Old Torrance on Oct. 19 is the ultimate family-friendly Halloween event featuring pumpkin painting, music, a haunted boo-tique, games and much more! Several businesses will be decked out with decorations, so get in the spirit and be sure to vote for your favorite. Most will also be open late with candy for trick-or-treaters. The culinary-minded are also in for a treat, with various restaurants offering Halloween-themed drinks and specials. Happy Hallow-wine!

24th Annual Halloween Ball

Look fab-boo-lous at the 24th Annual Halloween Ball on Oct. 20 – all for a good cause. The event benefits students at El Camino College. Enjoy a costume contest, full martini, wine and beer bar, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, buffet dinner and live music. Space is limited, get your tickets today – it’s a hauntingly good time!

Drive-In Movie Nights: Beetlejuice

Halloween isn’t all scares. It’s also fun, kooky and celebrates retro throwbacks to the past. Experience the classic, 1950s fun of Drive-In Movie Nights at the Roadium Open Air Market on Oct. 25. Once the sun sets, the fun begins with a screening of Beetlejuice – the perfect Halloween fun! Visitors can enjoy food trucks, movie concessions and much more.

Frankenstein at the James R. Armstrong Theatre

Love the drama of Halloween? You’re in luck! The James R. Armstrong Theatre is featuring Frankenstein on Oct. 26 to mark the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s most famous novel. Directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire), Frankenstein features Benedict Cumberbatch (Hamlet, BBC’s Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Trainspotting). “Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful” – bring it on Frankenstein!

Halloween Carnival

Ghost and goblins come to play – on October’s final day! Join thousands of families at Torrance’s annual Halloween Carnival at Wilson Park on Oct. 31. The event includes a costume parade, games, food trucks, craft making and dancing to celebrate the spooky holiday. Be sure to take your kids trick-or-treating nearby after the event. Trick or treat yo’self!

Halloween Spooktacular at Del Amo Fashion Center

We’re creepin’ it real at Del Amo Fashion Center. The mall is hosting Halloween Spooktacular on Oct. 31 at its Lux Court. Bring the kiddos and dress to impress in your best costumes. Visitors can enjoy spooky treats, ghoulish arts and crafts, interactive activities, face-painting, balloon twisting, giveaways and mall trick-or-treating.

Halloween Swingthing 2019

Eat, drink and be scary! Halloween Swingthing 2019 is taking place Oct. 24 – Oct. 27 at Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach.
