The city of Torrance is close to some of the most exciting sports action. Attend games from every major sport in nearby cities, or cheer on your favorite teams from some of the best restaurants and bars in Torrance.

Just a short distance from Torrance, in addition to your seasonal favorites, you can see global events that include:

  • The FIFA World Cup in 2026
  • Super Bowl LXI in 2027
  • The Summer Olympics and Paralympics in 2028.

If you can’t make it to the games, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow team supporters with excellent food, drinks and atmosphere at some of Torrance’s favorite sports spots. If you scored tickets to a game, make sure to pick up some tailgating essentials at these locations.

We’ve selected a few of the top sports eateries in Torrance, along with a brief look at the sporting events you can attend or cheer on. Put on your team jersey and face paint, and get ready to cheer!

FOOTBALL

SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is home to the National Football League’s Chargers and Rams. Torrance Transit makes it easy to get to the game. In fact, for most football games at SoFi, the Torrance bus allows you to ride to the stadium for just $2 ($4 round trip). Learn more about available routes, schedules and events here.

If you’re just looking to view the games, The Crest Sports Bar and Grill is a prime spot with more than 50 wall-to-wall high-definition TVs. Start with excellent appetizers like jalapeño mac ’n cheese bites or baked bread knots (or both!), then try hot or cold sandwiches, pizza or any of the other scrumptious entrees. The Crest offers a large selection of beer, wine and cocktails as well.

A game-day favorite, The Brews Hall consists of two breweries, four food concepts and a full bar. With big-screen TVs all around, the sports-heavy atmosphere is an ideal location for cheering the team on to victory while chowing down on burgers, pizza, tacos, chicken sandwiches and a whole lot more. Beer, cocktails and plenty of bites, as well as happy hour specials, make The Brews Hall a perfect all-in-one sports-watching scene.

BASEBALL

The World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers play at Dodgers Stadium, a short drive from Torrance. Starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani — one of the best (if not the best) players in Major League Baseball history — and a lineup of stars bring the excitement each season.

The Los Angeles Angels also play a short distance from Torrance at Angels Stadium. Led by slugger Mike Trout and coached by former player Kurt Suzuki, the Angels have a loyal fanbase ready for baseball fireworks.

You’ll score a home run when you take the gang to Slater’s 50/50, located in the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance. There’s not a bad seat or a bad food choice in the house. Known for their out-of-this-world burgers, Slater’s has “bacon-tastic” bites, French fries with Slater’s bacon ketchup, fantastic milkshakes (because you’re never too old for a milkshake) and a whole host of wonderful choices, along with more than 40 craft and local beers on tap.

Torrance Tavern is a casual neighborhood bar that offers a variety of beers and classic American dishes, not to mention 15 TVs so you don’t miss a pitch. A plate of chili verde fries or nachos is a great way to start the game, with the middle innings a prime time for a Jim’s big burger (that’s two hamburger patties) or tavern fish and chips. Wash it down with your choice of beer, then close the game with one of Torrance Tavern’s mouth-watering desserts. What a save!

BASKETBALL

LeBron James, Luka Doncic and the National Basketball Association’s Los Angeles Lakers play home games a half-hour away from Torrance at the Crypto.com Arena. Intuit Dome, less than 20 minutes from Torrance, is the home arena for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Offering an island-inspired menu, Islands restaurant has a large bar area with side-by-side TVs, so there’s not a bad seat to watch some hoops. If a burger with house-made chili, a fried chicken breast sandwich, fresh-cut island fries with a secret sauce, island tropical drinks and plenty of beer choices make your mouth water, this is a fun place to cheer for the Lakers and Clippers.

Sports Harbour is a popular stop for basketball fans (as well as football, baseball, etc.). Watch the action while you enjoy burgers and sandwiches, Mexican cuisine and, on Thursdays, some great pizza. Is your team getting blown out? No problem. There are air hockey, pool and shuffleboard tables, as well as dart boards and a jukebox, to drown out the impending loss.

SOCCER/FOOTBALL

Whether you call it soccer or football, there’s no denying that the game is the most popular sport in the world. Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy plays at Dignity Health Sports Park and, you guessed it, it’s not far from Torrance.

If you’re a Galaxy fan, then Absolution Brewing Company is where you’ll find fellow fans of the team. There’s also a host of handmade artisan beers and ales to enjoy, while food trucks frequent the brewery during the busiest times (see the schedule on the website). Cornhole and other games help make Absolution Brewing Company a fun place to watch your favorite soccer team.

Local Kitchen is the type of restaurant where the food is excellent and the atmosphere is electric, especially when your favorite team is playing. There are multiple TVs, so getting a view of the matches is a breeze. There are more than 40 classic menu items, from burgers to fish, and local favorites such as Dave’s barbecue meatloaf tower and old town chicken parmesan, not to mention some of the best craft beer and cocktails in Torrance.
