BEST COCKTAILS IN THE SOUTH BAY

Madré!

We’d like to send a shout out to those brave souls who ate that worm in a bottle of Gusano Rojo mezcal. Madré has some two dozen mezcals on the shelves, all without a single worm. Forget the cliché and think artisanal, authentic, quality mezcal. This exciting Oaxacan restaurant in downtown Torrance is the place to enjoy those and many Mexican spirits with plenty of mixology options too.

BEST BAKERY

Torrance Bakery

Easily one of our favorite spots in Torrance, just about anything you get here is going to be amazing. Our personal favorite? They call it the churro donut and we crave it. They have all kinds of sweets like cupcakes, pastries and more. For those with less of a sweet tooth, they have sandwiches as well.

BEST HAWAIIAN

King’s Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant

Their bread is iconic and this restaurant was opened by the same man who founded King’s Hawaiian in Hilo, Hawaii, Robert Taira. Of course, they’re breakfast is to die for (we recommend the French Toast), but their burgers and BBQ are dang good too.

BEST LANDMARK

As the sister spot for the internationally known and arguably the most recognized donut shop in the world in Inglewood, the Torrance location features the same great taste and menu.
