You’ll need to apply for a beach wedding permit no earlier than 90 days and no later than 3 weeks before your desired date. It’s easily done online, but they offer no guarantees on dates or locations. Torrance Cultural Arts Center
An authentic Japanese garden, banquet rooms, a theater and two large outdoor plazas give you a lot of spaces to choose from at this unique location. It was designed to create an inspiring and functional venue for a wide variety of events, including weddings. Spaces available include:
- Pine Wind Japanese Garden includes two waterfalls, a koi pond, and stone pathways. The two-tiered amphitheater has seating for up to 25 people and a total capacity of 60 people.
- Garden Rooms overlook the Pine Wind Japanese Garden with seating for up to 55 people.
- George Nakano Theater is especially versatile with four sets of retractable drapes, an acoustically tempered ceiling, and a full lighting grid. It can seat up to 180 people.
- Ken Miller Recreation Center is a large 3,100-square-foot auditorium with a built-in stage with capacity for up to 325 people. It also has an adjacent assembly room, separated by a lobby and kitchen, that can accommodate 140 people.
- Torino Festival Plaza is a 14,000-square-foot outdoor area with an elevated concrete stage, front lighting on either side of the stage and electric outlets lining the area. It can accommodate 350 people in a dining arrangement.
- Toyota Meeting Hall is an elegant and modern 4,200-square-foot space with a carpeted or optional wooden floor, professional catering kitchen, portable stage, dimmable lighting, public address system and grand piano. It can accommodate 270 people for dining or 250 people for dining and dancing.
