Torrance is the Right Play for Games & More at Dignity Health Sports Park
Los Angeles is known for being a sports hub, with professional teams spanning from football to baseball and everything in between. However, when it comes to soccer, LA is home to only one professional soccer team: the Los Angeles Galaxy. In fact, the team is only one of two professional soccer teams in California.
The MLS Los Angeles Galaxy’s home stadium is right next door to Torrance at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. The space also lends itself to other sporting events (rugby, wrestling, boxing to name a few) as well as concerts. It will be one of the host stadiums for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and will host some of the events during the 2028 Summer Olympics. Plus, if you stay in Torrance you’ll get easy access to the park and all its events without paying premium parking prices.

US MEN’S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM VS COLUMBIA

Fresh from the World Soccer Championship, the US Men’s Soccer Team will face Columbia at Dignity Health Sports Park. If you didn’t make it to Qatar, this is your chance to see these two national teams compete in person.
The Los Angeles Galaxy is one of the original MLS teams and the first and only club to win five MLS Cups (2002, 2005, 2011, 2012 and 2014). Catch one of their games during their 2023 season, with pre-season games starting in February:
Feb 4, 2023 – MLS Galaxy vs New York City FC
Feb 18, 2023 – MLS Galaxy vs New vs Toronto FC
HSBC RUGBY SEVENS LA SERIES
Feb 25-26, 2023
Heading back to California, Team USA will face off against the 15 best rugby sevens nations in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. It’s a rare chance to see so many teams in one place and it all happens over two days with over 40 games played. There’ll be an International Fan Festival there too with live music, food and entertainment from all over the world.

CONCERTS AND EVENTS
A large, open-air stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park hosts a Summer Concert Series every year as well as several other events. They’ve yet to reveal their line-up for the 2023 Summer Concert Series, but we’ll be sure to tell you about it when they do. They also host several live boxing matches often.

Del Amo Fashion Center
Torrance is home to one of the largest malls in the country, the Del Amo Fashion Center. It’s even been featured in films like Bad Santa and TV shows like Reno 911!. It’s 2.5 million square feet of shopping glory with more than 200 stores. Enjoy!
